The National Publicity Secretary of the Allied People’s Movement (APM), Abubakar Yusuf, has asked Nigerians to vote the party and its Presidential Candidate, Seyi Makinde.

In a statement in Osogbo, yesterday, at the backdrop of legal fireworks surrounding the legitimacy of Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC) and African Democratic Congress (ADC), stating that APM would serve as the way forward for the opposition parties.

The APM, according to the National Publicity Secretary, featured Makinde as its Presidential Candidate to bridge the gap of continuation of a southern President from another political platform.

“If Nigerians tip Engr Seyi Makinde with the support of the opposition elements, no doubt the party will form the next government at the federal level,” he said.

While expressing regrets at the judicial pronouncements in recent times against the opposition, he appealed to the people of Osun to vote the party in the forthcoming August off-cycle election.

To avoid overheating the polity, major stakeholders in Osun State have endorsed the party’s Governorship Candidate, Adewale Adebayo of  APM, stating that the state would be a testing ground for the next year’s general election.
