In reply to Aguiyi. I agree with your take but I did not upvote you because you were silent on the responsibilities of soccer authorities to victims of blatant unfair officiating. I followed the AFCON games closely, and the level of impartiality that favored Morocco in multiple games was appalling. The Senegalese coach was guilty of overreaction and should merit disciplinary action, I grant. But soccer authorities should also rein in errant referees. If the authorities were in on the pro Moroccan officiating as has been variously alleged, the opponents would have been in order to react in ways that might be unorthodox. The Senegalese case should be viewed in that context.

Are we saying that the super Eagles should have walked off the pitch during their 2018 World cup match against Argentina, when the referee refused to call what seemed like an obvious foul/second-penalty kick against Argentina ? Should the Italian National Team have walked off the pitch when the referee disallowed Italy's golden goal against South Korea during the 2002 World cup ? Should the Italian National Team have walked off the pitch when the referee refused to call Louis Suarez (Uruguay) biting Italy's Giorgini Chiellini' s ear, during the 2014 World cup, a foul ? Should England have walked off the pitch when the referee disalowed Frank Lampard's goal, against Germany, during the 2010 world cup ?

How about the during the 2014 World cup match between Nigeria and Bosnia. Should Bosnia have walked off the pitch when the referee disallowed their first half goal against Nigeria, in what seemed like an unfair circumstance ? Or should they have walked off the pitch, during the second half of the same game, when the referee refused to call a second half foul, by Emmanuel Emenike, against Bosnia's Emir Spahic, before passing the ball to Nigeria's Odemwinge, who went on to score the winning goal ? Where do we draw the line ?

If teams start walking off the pitch, because they do not like a referee's call, that will be the end of competitive football as we know it.
