"He who holds a person on the ground holds himself".

In his Confederate Document @ Aburi Ghana, the following contextual words on marble was made by Dim Odumegwu Ojukwu:

"Divided we stand, united we fall"

They agreed to the Confederate Document at Aburi but on return to Nigeria, Gowon was told by the "usual suspects" to jettison the agreement.

They always reach a consensus when the issue is Igbo. But as the Volkswagen advert in the '70s and '80s goes:

"There is no killing the beetle".

There is no killing the Igbos. Igbos like the Phoenix will always rise from the ashes to prevail.

They can sentence all our Kanus to millions of years, it will still not solve their Igbo problem. The more they increase the weight of their knee on Igbo neck, the more they destroy what is left of Nigeria. I kid you not. You can easily trace the origin of the nation's fall from grace to the implementation of a set of anti-Igbo policies, which ended up making collateral victim of the entire nation. The problem the victorious faction has is the morbid fear of what an unshackled Igbo can and will do for himself. It would rather stay down in perpetuity if that will keep Igbos down . What it fails to realize, though, is that, like Samson's, Igbos' hair will sprout again, however long it takes.

Take the two scenarios. What value does the Defense Minister's parleys with terrorists add to the nation? Compare that to what Dele Momodu said that Kanu told him in confidence – that he would have dropped his agitation if the federal govt had developed the technological potentials of Igboland – a destination to which the region was on track to reach had Gowon not castrated it in 1967. The federal govt embraces terrorists whose rai·son d'ê·tre is destruction while alienating and suppressing Igbo freedom that does the opposite by adding value to the nation .

Even a fool can to see that the kernel of federal govt's post First Republic policy is self-sabotage.

For Sardauna, Balewa, Maimalari, Yakubu Pam, for four northern elite, ten thousand in recompense. Women violated, children clubbed to death, burnt in churches.
Ani was outraged. Ani is claiming recompense.
And what better way than the children of the perpetrators falling on each other, and self decimating.
I will not mourn with you any denizen of the pale of murderers , be he a general or a peasant. As Dogara said, it is a curse, it is spiritual.
It is karma, recompense for the blood of innocents shed from Talata Mafara to Gboko.
Amen.

If they would dedicate a fraction of the time they invest in manipulating elections, state capture and attacking Obi & the usual suspects in fighting insecurity, the nation would not be at the mercy of Islamic and sundry terrorists. Would these terrorists be having this much field day if they were Igbos or Christians? MNK has just been sentenced to life behind bars by the federal govt for insisting on justice for his people. The same federal govt gleefully toasts and rehabilitates deadly Islamic terrorists that are guilty of mass murder. It is a case of selective justice. Taking the fight to the terrorists is not popular with certain stakeholders. Does Ihejirika sound familiar? As you said, the situation will only get worse.

Kanu has been sentenced to life by Justice Omotoso of the Federal High Court Abuja for terrorism while the Minister of Defence, Matawalle, parleys with Bello Turji and other terrorists leaders all in the name of non-kinetic approach to fighting insecurity (Source: Sahara Reporters: detailing a sprawling web of political, financial, and operational links between Matawalle and terror kingpins in Zamfara State). Who is fooling who?

When they were agitating to recuse justice Nyako, I told them the venomous Yoruba who went mad because Jonathan offered Igbos appointment is a hundred million times worse than the Fulani!… But it is still an effort in futility!

The above was a radio message reportedly sent to Gowon by an Unknown Soldier after the July 29 1975 coup that toppled Gowon while away in Kampala Uganda for OAU Summit.

It was clear this wasn't the intended message but somehow the Freudian slip conveyed the actual situation of things at the time. Gowon never made it back to Nigeria for Murtala took "control" of the country.

Nigeria is indeed under alarm and unfortunately there is no serious efforts at controlling the situation. In fact, it does appear "those in charge of Nigeria" felt there is no need for control. If there were serious efforts at control, we won't be having "merchants of death on the prowl".

More like saying if Tinubu's government had followed the "lead" by Trump by dealing with the problem we all agreed existed instead of spinning fatuous conspiracy theories and blaming imaginary foes, perhaps, we wouldn't have had the heinous events at Maga and Eruku? Perhaps, Brig General Musa Uba and others might still be alive today?

Let me repeat for the umpteenth time that Tinubu's government is not serious about fighting insecurity. There is no political will nor moral conviction to fight insecurity. It'll get worse in the coming weeks. They're even blaming Trump for the recent terror attacks? Talk of a nation under alarm!!
