The conflict with deputies arises more when you have a Governor or President who is insecure or egocentric or both – a boss who knows that naturally he does not command respect by the force of his personality. This forces such bosses to want to surround themselves not with loyalists, but with sychophants. Any person with an independent mind is perceived as a threat to them. It is therefore not very hard to understand why our present boss does not have a good history with deputies. The unpleasant circumstances surrounding all aspects of his background paint the picture of a person with a huge moral burden that may be predispose him to feeling insecure when faced with people with better pedigrees.

Pant on fire here. Bokohari transmitted power once to Osinbajo and that when when Osibanjo fired Daura for his unconstitutional action, after that he never transmitted power to Osinbanjo again. The worst VP until date in the department of spare tyre was Osibanjo but Nigerians have the nack to keep quite if the south is on the receiving end.

As a developing Society that Nigeria is, all hands must always be on the deck, including that of the Vice President. Already, he has been an active VP. In the Second Term, he should be offered more to do. The president himself is very much aware of this.
