This is so difficult to understand considering the fact that we are talking of gunmen in a country that has not yet legalised guns for the public . This cannot be happening . Where are the army and the military police?. Where are those prosecuting the people handing guns to these criminals ?

How baffling that the Nigerian leadership and its security forces have shown such incompetence, or is it incapacity, or lack of political will, to defend Nigeria and Nigerians against a marauding gang of Fulani terrorists parading as herdsmen and committing heinous crimes in the Savannah and rain-forest zones of the country. First, it was easy to understand PMB's reluctance to go after his own people with whom he actually shared expansionist ambitions across Nigeria – but PBAT – what's restraining him – from banning any herders bearing arms – from exposing, arresting and prosecuting the well known sponsors of terror groups – using the financial institutions to track and arrest terror financiers, facilitators, beneficiaries and procurators of the instruments of terrorism? This level of lackadaisical approach to fighting terrorism was never seen or known before the advent of APC rule in 2015. What is stopping PBAT from changing the narrative and perception that security is not a priority of APC rule? In fact, there's no meaningful governance – political or economic, in any society that is mired in protracted insecurity. Frankly, everything about giving power to the APC appears to be a monumental error.

At some point, the people of the Nigerian Middle Belt would realise that they are facing extermination. General Danjuma rtd has been warning them that they have to defend themselves, and that the Nigerian State would not defend them. The Fulani tribe from the entire Sahel Belt has decided as a people that they must push into the Benue and Niger River Valleys to claim territory and settle, as the Sahel Belt is increasingly becoming inhabitable. What is happening is a well planned and coordinated ethnic cleansing of those territories. The only way out is for the inhabitants of these places to arm themselves and defend themselves.
