"Faith without work is dead" — James 2: 26

Faith and work are two sides of the same coin. In the Bible, God asked Noah to go and build a ship because a flood was coming. In response, Noah did not just sit down and proclaim. I have faith. He got up, cut many trees, built a ship, gathered the animals, entered the ship and was saved from the impending doom. Genesis 5:32 — 10:1

The Bible is replete with such stories. Including the parable of the foolish virgins. Matthew 25:1-13. Etc. So, Abati is correct, work and faith go hand in hand. In fact, working in furtherance of what you believe/your faith, is evidence that you have faith

All he promised during his campaign stump for the office of president was pampering soldiers with agbado/iyan delicacies under the Emilokan [my turn] formula for running public affairs. It's laughable that of all strategies, he's talking of creating new bodies [forest guard] rather than strengthen existing ones to defeat a bunch of motorcycle-riding bush-dwellers. A well equipped, well trained and efficient Air force without informers and saboteurs embedded within its ranks could flush out and destroy those vermin from the scrublands we're calling forests in the north. But no, PMB set a doctrine of treating them with kid gloves because according to his warped thinking a real war against Boko Haram and its branches would be war against the North. PBAT seems to align himself with that view so BH/ISWAP thrives on the benevolence of our rulers, not incapacity of our Armed Forces to rout them. And since so much time has passed with the top commanders and contractors used to the huge perks and profit that the insurgency brings into their wallets, the fight against terrorism has become more of a lucrative business than an emergency for nation-survival. It's all on PBAT, his administration and the APC. At least history will record it that way.
