At the convocation, which took place recently on the campus of the university, his supervisor, Prof Owualah, attributed his success in attaining such academic height to his hard work and dedication. He added that Moseri showed character that depicted a man who is always seeking knowledge and academic successes.

According to him, 鈥淚 found him very hardworking, conscientious and determined to succeed, and despite his place of work he鈥檚 able to meet up with deadline. He encouraged me, and indirectly encouraged himself. Also, whenever he sent me any part of his work to do, he would correct me in anyways I have missed out. This was a continued process which never got him discouraged, and this act endeared me to him as somebody, who is determined to succeed. I know of many people whom I have supervised, they don鈥檛 send me hardcopy but via online, I just read and make comments and send back to them. I鈥檓 not surprised he was able to complete his programme in a few years.鈥

On his doctoral thesis: 鈥楥orporate Earnings: Dividend Payments and Stock Prices Behaviour of Manufacturing Firms Listed in Nigeria鈥, Owualah said it would contribute immensely to the development and growth of businesses as well as the economic situation in Nigeria.

鈥淗is work tries to look at manufacturing firms which also are the bedrock of the Nigerian economy, as well as those investing in manufacturing firms that want to buy shares by making money available in order to stabilize their activities through long-term finance when shares area. His work looks at the preference shares given to shareholders which is translated to dividend payment, and how it affects their behaviour in patronizing this manufacturing firms knowing that banks are going public into the market for shares, by giving out attractive returns. So, if same is done for the manufacturing sectors, people will buy their shares if they that see it is profitable,鈥 he added.

Meanwhile, the professor lamented that Nigeria has a high standard of education 鈥渂ut unfortunately, the human capital in the education sector is not really well remunerated among other conditions.

鈥淭he educational system has been adversely affected by these poor conditions of service, and that鈥檚 why some competent lecturers have moved elsewhere or outside the country, where the facilities and conditions are far better compared to here, and they are easily exceling over there.

鈥淚 think we really need to look into our educational system. The government needs to up-grade the infrastructure now compared to what we had then, to meet the current expectation since things are changing everyday.鈥
