Kamala Harris is the first Asian American woman to attain such a height. The fear remains how the African Americans will react to this choice. Already, a huge percentage of black American men have opted for Donald Trump. It is not likely they will reverse their decision. Black men hate the manipulation of the black community in America by the Democrats. They no longer want to be perceived as playing along with a party that has incarcerated black men most, in American history. Fortunately for Kamala, many black women will vote for her. Whether that is sufficient for her to win is what no one can determine. If Kamala wins , she has to visit Nigeria. Obama did not.

Both Buhari & Tinubu got away with it because they represented Yoroba interests. And while Buhari was foisting his ruin they (press & civil society) were defending them. They were rather manufacturing "legacy" for Buhari. Those who were in opposition were labelled "wailing wailers". After his legacy of ruin, a criminal drug trafficker & a terrorist sponsor have succeeded him – defended by the press & civil society. They have brought unprecedented economic ruin, are exhibiting unprecedented nepotism. But they are being defended. Since 2015 the economy has been run aground, mindboggling impunity committed (for example travelling for sick leaves without handing over to the VP,, etc). But the press & civil society, which pulled Jonathan down with a campaign of calumny, blackmail & lies, have been stunningly silent & defending.

Election rigging, judicial corruption, cronyism, impunity, vindictiveness with power, incompetence, killings, nepotism, tribalism, lies as a means of governance, religious insensitivity, corruption, debt accumulation, etc, have attained previously unimaginable levels since 2015.
