He has filtered away all his goodwill for a mess of amala ati ewedu. What really do you expect from a man who confessed that if not for Tinubu he would be homeless? Shelter according to Maslow is one of the basic needs of man after food and clothing. So, WS owes everything including his dignity (read, the man in him) to Tinubu. Don't expect anything less from WS. Nothing reduces one's dignity more than poverty! Ok, how many of WS's books do you have on your shelf??

This is beyond shallow… Everybody who buys a plane ticket is allocated seat number, if your 'hero' sits on another customer's seat, the owner has the right to request his allocated seat back…Give us a break!!

Even at 90, Soyinka has shown many of his critics, including the social media antagonists that he still has enough fire in him to fight back, whether in the trenches or in the more dignified arena of intellection. Yes indeed. He is not letting himself outcompeted. He calls people "Nebuchadnezzar", "Shepopotamus", & calls people who criticize him "barbarians". He gives it back. He does not stomach online insults (which are actually reprobations for his hypocrisy & lies) that are not accompanied with violence. But he has no qualms in either making his own, nor in supporting & campaiging for Buhari whose inciteful statements led to the killing of nearly 1000 corpers in 2011, & in supporting & campaigning for him against his (Buhari's) rhetoric of dogs & baboons soaking in blood if they didn't win in 2015. We didn't hear his condemnation of the 2023 attack, disenfranchisement & murder of some ethnic nationalities during last years' elections. He now supports a criminal drug pusher as president & a sponsor of Boko Haram as vice-president. Today he does not only remain silent in the face of impunities like election rigging, nepotism, corruption, injustice, & so on, he actually encourages & defends them. He has achieved a lot. But let his actions speak for him rather than ethnic jingoists. He will continue to make a mockery of himself by his lies, double standards, dubiousness, hypocrisy & support for corruption, tribalism, injustice, etc. He may want to use his remaining years on earth to create a positive moral legacy besides his intellectual ones. Neither intimidation & bare faced lies nor the insincere talk about him being human will help him,
