Truth is that most African governments are detached from the citizens. It is not surprising that the AU and the regional organizations are weak. Terrorism will disappear if governance reach every part of the continent, including the lone forests and deserts, harboring the criminals. So, yes, we need carrot and stick approaches to tackle terrorism.

This man has forgotten that actions (or inactions) have consequences. You cannot get to power through coup, whether military or civilian, terrorism, extremism and banditry and want to prevent others from toeing the same line. An African proverb says, those who kill are always uncomfortable when a machete-weilding man comes close bye. Certainly, those who kill by the sword will go by the sword. This is a sound doxology!

Last line: The only panacea to coups, is allowing institutions of democracy like electoral body, judiciary and security system to work. Why is this hard for Tinubu to understand? Ogbu mma (killer) mentality!
