Dubious and unsubstantiated claims like the ones made by Mr. Fashola only lead to the loss of credibility. I know, not that Mr. Fashola still has anything like that left in his bag. He’s the first minister of Works & Housing whose department is not solely responsible for works and housing as Mullah Buhari stuffed dozens of roads and housing projects for his Fulani region in the budget of his ragtag presidency nearly every year, including his N21 billion, self-needed second Aso Rock Clinic. Nigeria is such a laughing stock in decent nations around the world that they no longer take what even the Nigerian president say seriously. He and his officials are held in scorn and open ridicle.

Mullah Buhari’s 8,352.94kms of roads must have passed through our living rooms and bedrooms; so much so that Nigerians now walk on paved roads. The tale of 339,955 jobs from Fashola makes me wonder where these ghost workers are. My guess is that they are on the payroll of the Federal Ministry of Works and Housing. Gone are the days when we used to give Fashola the benefit of the doubt. Polithiefians are on the prowl in Nigeria and they are the only group who are not leaving for Europe and North America.

7-1/2 years for Lagos – Ibadan road on dry land (less than 150km) is not an achievement Mr Fashola. A child born when you started the road is now in primary 3 and the project is still on-going. People died on that road everyday due to your negligence and incompetence. History will not be kind to you and your government.
